Life With Laine is a new series about things that are going on in my life lately. Just a little look into Laine’s life, so to speakI can show off my recent Instagram posts and share news from my life. Today’s post is about the exciting changes that happened in the last few weeks.
My younger brother graduated from high school last weekend. We’re a homeschool family, so the graduation was a pretty small. Just seven graduates! We enjoyed a lovely ceremony and then went to Olive Garden for a late lunch. It was definitely an exciting day!
THANK YOU NOTES
With graduation and possible new clients, we’ve been writing a lot of thank you notes. I have a friend who recently got married and she’s busy working on her thank you notes. She has about 100 thank you notes to write, but at least ettiequte says she has a few months to send them out! I’ve learned for smaller or more personal thank you cards they should go out as quickly as possible, definitely no more than two weeks after the event. Also, thank you emails are acceptable, but a handwritten thank you note can go a long way and leave a great impression. Personal touches really do matter.
I finally bought my 2016-2017 Day Designer for BlueSky. I choose to go with the 5×8 Today & To Do, which features monthly pages for July 2016-June 2017 and undated weekly and daily pages. I need to go back a pick up a few more! The Today & To Do is meant to be a quarterly planner, but I’m sure the length can be extended depending on how often you use the daily or weekly pages. I’m currently using the daily pages every day so that I can build up the habit! I’m hoping to splurge next year and purchase a flagship Day Designer. I love it because I can keep up with all aspect of my life, which gives me more things to share during my Life With Laine posts!
